Yellobric have received accreditation as one of 6 pilot programmes running eLearning in South African schools. Yellobric are the only rural school to run the programme and were selected due to the large number of tests our facilitator Duncan was able to carry out. This has resulted in political, technical and financial support from the department of education. The school now has a reliable satellite connection, 95 tablets and 14 laptops allowing expansion of the programme to many more students.
Improvements in the technology has also allowed students who have smart phones to download lessons and tests from a dedicated wireless hub in the school to complete at home. Using private devices in this way will expand the reach of the programme to any person in the school or village who wishes to take part.
